Thanks for this, Jessica. I have done a fair bit of time in the recovery community, especially talking to men about recovery, and it's really interesting to see how they deal with what are clearly abusive relationships. That is, there are cases of women who are clearly engaged in all sorts of bad behaviour. You really put it well in the 'Let's stop the gendered bad love narratives' section.

While society is putting in some thought (and probably not enough) into dealing with messed up male behaviour, the irony is that some of the 'women's support' going around isn't JUST helping the women who need it. It's also becoming weaponised by women who don't need it, including some who, as you point out, are carrying over previous trauma that they've suffered into new relationships and, sadly, abusing new potential partners or friends.
