and Kate 'feces in the streets and riots'? Do you even travel at all? Are you one of these people who talks about places you've never been as if you know what's happening there? Yes, there are homeless people living in many US cities, primarily as a result of deinstitutionalization of the mentally ill, high rates of bankruptcy in the US, and the absence of social programs. But you get that people in the cities (Democratic- and Republican-led) come from outside those cities, too, right? Do you think NYC is 'feces and riots'? You should really get out more. Seriously, watching too much of the world on the news, not just Fox, will convince you it's a lot worse than it is.

And yes, a blue wave is going to improve the US a lot. In general, there's almost always an expansion of the most important economic indicators (employment, median income, GDP) under democratic presidents. Which benefits republicans too. But I do hope that democratic leaders turn away from their unqualified support for free trade and off-shoring. Joe has some good policies for this. You should check them out!
